Punta Salinas

Punta Salinas is one of the characteristic itineraries of Ogliastra within the Territory of Baunei.
The dirt ends in a clearing; you will find a small well-marked path on the left that leads after about 15 minutes to the first fold.
Continue to the left following markings, the view opens onto the canal of Bacu Canale that leads to Cala Goloritzé and on “Serra Lattone”, the wide ridge that overlooks Cala Mariolu.
“Punta Salinas” is the promontory facing our path; continue north until you reach a beautiful terrace on the sea! the falciform Gulf of Orosei is in front of us, and the view sweeps up to the coast of Orosei and Punta Comino.
Below us lies the obvious calcareous monolith of “Punta Caroddi” which rises above the Cala Goloritzé .
On the returning path, on the right we can see the natural amphitrite that houses the second fold; to reach it you have to go down a small dip, which leads to a small terrace; the 5-metre-long pest can be crossed thanks to an old juniper tree trunk.

How to get there : from Baunei, on the SS 125 road, after the Church of San Nicola turn right in the north direction and follow the signs for “San Pietro – Golgo”. Turn right to “Genna Olidone” and continue on the dirt road that leads first to “Ginnirco” and then to the town of “Irbiddotzili”.
We recommend going to “Irbiddotzili” by car (dirt road with some difficult sections) and then continuing on foot in a northerly direction along the main road.
